01 NCAC 06B .0308          SEVERANCE OF TIMBER FROM THE LAND

The Department of Administration is authorized to declare timber on state lands which is endangered by insects, disease, wind, fire or ice be severed from the land and to authorize its public or private sale in the event the estimated value of the timber to be severed does not exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000) per location.  In all other instances, sales will be made in the usual manner with the approval of the Governor and Council of State and through the Division of Purchase and Contract of the Department of Administration.
